You can call me Raich - I’m a sustainability obsessed travel photographer, content creator and educator! You can catch me hunting down the next International climate event or somewhere in the outdoors.
I received my first camera as a birthday gift back in 2015. Flash forward to 2022 I took a deep dive into content creation in Banff, AB Canada, and quickly fell in love with using the craft as a creative outlet, and capturing my adventures in the mountains. I started working with brands, tourism boards, and hotels, taking photos, and promoting products internationally. I was finally living my dream.
However, once I started travelling internationally, there was one trip in particular that completely changed my outlook and my WHY for doing what I do. In 2023 I travelled Mexico, and standing on a beach in the Sian Ka’an biosphere reserve, Tulum, I witnessed firsthand the environmental impact of beaches covered in consumer waste like hats and hundred of shoes, mixed with broken down plastic pieces, and my perspective on how my actions impact the world shifted dramatically.
I realized the traditional approach of using beautiful destinations merely as backdrops for content was unsustainable. It became clear that as content creators, we often use landscapes transactionally, failing to connect genuinely with local communities, and using our experiences as a way to contribute positively to the places we go.
I’m excited to continue my content creation journey partnering with truly sustainable brands, promoting environmental awareness, and engaging meaningfully with communities to create a positive impact!
