Blending Passion and Purpose: Devon Hawkins on Sustainable Living and Extreme Sports

Meet Dev.

Dev Started a algae-based vegan protein bar brand (Algi Foods), and now spends his days pushing the limits, exploring the rocky mountains and challenging himself in the outdoors.

We're all driven by something that ignites a deeper sense of purpose and pushes us toward a life of significance. What is it that calls us to not only exist but to actively make a difference?

This has been on my mind a lot lately, especially after an awesome chat with Devon Hawkins, also known as @lifewithdev on Instagram. Devon’s a total powerhouse when it comes to blending his love for the great outdoors with some serious sustainable business moves.

We got into everything from how he balances his adrenaline-packed hobbies like cycling and triathlons with his passion for the planet. It’s the kind of talk that makes you want to do more, be better, and maybe even pick up a new hobby (or two).

During our conversation, Devon mentioned his recent obsession with cycling and triathlons: "I have such a tendency to go all-in on things. Like I have gotten really into cycling and triathlons in the past few years, and it's gotten to the point where I spend most of my free time figuring out how I can get faster. It's also challenging because my apartment is filled with too many bikes."

We also touched on how challenging it is to choose just one passion when you care deeply about many things, from climate change to food sustainability.
